PZ enters the fray on one of the big arguments in skeptical atheism today. The accommodationists, like Chris Mooney, say we should avoid offending the sensibilities of believers so we can make them our allies in science programs and science education.
Unfortunately, this often means timidity when it comes to addressing issues believers hold unwarranted stances on.
